Do you recognise this man?
We would like to speak to him in connection with an assault and public order incident which took place in Tesco, High Street, Lymington at 8.50pm last Thursday (21 September).
Prior to the assault, a man is reported to have placed multiple bottles of high-value spirits into a shopping basket, before then attempting to leave the store without paying for the items.
When store staff intervened to prevent the man leaving with the goods, the man is then reported to have verbally abused two staff members and assaulted one of them by pushing him in the face. Thankfully, the victim was uninjured.
The man is described as;
- White
- Approximately 50 years of age
- Approximately 5ft 9ins tall
- Skinny build
- Grey beard
- Black hair, which was shaven short on the sides and slightly longer on the top
- Wrinkly and scarred facial complexion
We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.
Also, if you have information about this incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.
