We’re appealing for witnesses to a robbery which took place in Gosport.
At around 9am on Friday 1 September, a woman in her 20s was walking on Westfield Road when a man pushed her to the floor and took cigarettes and cash from her trouser and coat pockets.
A 36-year-old man was subsequently arrested by police on suspicion of robbery, and has been bailed with conditions until 3 December while further enquiries are conducted.
We believe there were members of the public in the area who witnessed this incident, including an older lady who offered to give the victim a lift home.
Officers would like to hear from this lady and anyone else with information about this incident.
