We are appealing for witnesses after a bike was stolen from a 23-year-old man on Thursday 21 September between 22:30 and 23:00.
The man reported that he was cycling down Pitreavie Road between Chatsworth Avenue and Hawthorn Crescent when he was approached by two men on a light coloured moped. The passenger on the moped was holding a pedal bike at the time.
The men threated to assault the man with bolt cutters if he did not hand over his bike. He was not hurt.
After taking the bike, the two left on the moped and were seen turning in to Tudor Crescent, heading in the direction of Highbury College.
We are keen to talk to anyone who witnessed/has dash-cam footage of the incident, or recognises the individuals, who are described as follows:
Man 1 (driver):
Man 2 (passenger):
The stolen bike is a GT Aggressor Expert 29 2021 mountain bike, which is dark in colour with light lettering and bright orange accents. We are also looking to speak to anyone who may have information on the bike’s whereabouts.
If you have any information that could help us with our investigation, please call 101 quoting incident number 44230386559.
You can also report to us by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
