We’re appealing for information after an 89-year-old man sustained a head injury at a bus stop in Winchester.
Police were called by ambulance colleagues at 3.52pm on Thursday 16 November to the bus shelter in St Cross Road, near the junction with Romans Road.
It was reported to officers that the man had been pushed to the ground. He was subsequently taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Officers are investigating the full circumstances of what took place during this incident, and as part of enquiries an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been released from custody but remains under investigation while enquiries continue.
We would urge anyone who witnessed this incident, or perhaps captured the incident or events leading up to on Dash Cam footage, to please contact police.
