We are releasing a further appeal for witnesses to an assault which occurred in Ventnor, and are particularly keen to identify two men who may have assisted the victim.
Police were called on the afternoon of Sunday 12 November after a man in his 50s was located in Pound Lane with a serious leg injury. It’s suspected that the man was assaulted at around 1.30pm.
Two men, aged 25 and 30, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent as part of our enquiries.
They have been bailed with conditions until 13 February.
We have been told that two men reportedly administered first aid to the victim to assist with his injury. These men then entered The Bistro on Pier Street at around 2pm.
We would like to hear from these two men, and anyone who witnessed this incident, or has any information that could assist our investigation.
