We are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was seriously assaulted in Southampton.
At around 2.15pm yesterday, 23 May, a 16-year-old boy was walking with a friend on Thornhill Park Road when he was involved in a short verbal exchange with an unknown man.
The man has then slashed the victim across the face with a blade, causing a serious but not life-threatening injury.
The boy was taken to hospital to be treated.
The suspect is described as being a white man, aged between 18 and 20-years-old, approximately 5ft 11ins tall with an average build, and dark hair. He was also described as having a stubbly moustache. He was wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up.
We have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for any help with the investigation.
Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you remember seeing someone matching the above description. Or do you have CCTV or dash cam footage that may help?
