CCTV images released after assault outside bar in Southampton

Officers continuing to investigate an assault in Southampton have today (26 May) released CCTV image of a group of people that they would like to speak with in relation to the incident.

It comes after a man was reportedly assaulted outside Sharkies Sports Bar on Above Bar Street at around 1.05am on Sunday 7 May.

He was involved in a verbal altercation when he was assaulted.

The victim, aged 24, was knocked to the floor, hitting his head on the ground causing him to lose consciousness.

We believe that the people pictured may have witnessed the moments leading up to the assault or the assault taking place.
