We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Newport yesterday morning (Sunday 28 May).
We were called at 9am to a report of a collision involving a car and pedestrian on Blackwater Road, Newport.
The road was closed while emergency services attended but has since re-opened.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. His condition is not thought to be life-threatening at the current time.
An investigation into the exact circumstances of the collision is ongoing.
As part of our enquiries, we would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened or has dash cam footage of the incident.
