Appeal for witnesses after collision on M27

We are appealing for witnesses after a collision on the M27 westbound on Thursday afternoon (May 25).

The incident occurred just after 12pm between Rownhams services and junction 3 for Southampton.

It was reported a collision involving a Scania car transporter and blue Kia Sportage had happened, with the driver of the Kia, a man in his 50s, suffering serious injuries.

Enquiries into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to speak with anyone with information.
