We are releasing a CCTV image as we appeal for further information regarding an attempted robbery in Portsmouth.
We were called at 8pm on 6 January 2023 to Kirby Stores on College Street.
It was reported that four males entered the store with their hoods up and covering their faces.
Two of them looked around then left, one attempted to steal a packet of rice and the other assaulted the shopkeeper, a man in his 40s.
Following an investigation, two males were arrested.
A 14-year-old male from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been bailed until April 30.
A 16-year-old male from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of robbery but has been released with no further action to be taken.
We are releasing a CCTV image of a person we would like to speak to in connection to this investigation.
He is described as:
- Male
- White
- Aged 16-20
- Slim build
- Was wearing a dark blue coat, dark Nike tracksuit bottoms, black Nike trainers and wearing a black Nike bag.
- Tattoo on right hand
