We are appealing to the public for information as part of our investigation into a suspected arson in Southampton yesterday evening (Thursday 15 June).
We were called shortly before 8.55pm to a report of a suspected break-in at a furniture store on MacNaghten Road. Officers attended and saw that a room inside the building had been set alight.
A 15-year-old boy, 14-year-old boy and 13-year-old boy, all from Southampton, were located inside and arrested on suspicion of arson and burglary.
They remain in police custody at the current time.
A 12-year-old boy has been taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries to his legs. No other injuries were reported.
Officers investigating this incident would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who saw anything that may assist our enquiries.
Perhaps you were driving through the area and have dash cam footage that captured something suspicious?
