We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, after reports a man was robbed in Southampton.
The incident occurred at around 4.15pm yesterday afternoon (Monday 10 July) where a man was approached by two unknown men on Highfield Avenue, close to the junction of Highfield Road.
The victim – a man in his 20s – reportedly had a number of high-value items stolen from him including a diamond tennis bracelet and a gold chain.
During the altercation, the man also received minor facial injuries, but was taken to hospital for treatment.
It is alleged that the two men – one of whom was described as Black and the other described as being Asian - have then fled the scene in a black saloon-style vehicle in the direction of Portswood High Street.
We have conducted initial enquiries but are now asking anyone with information to come forward – specifically dash cam footage – especially as the incident occurred on a busy road at a peak time for traffic.
Did you see what happened? Perhaps you remember seeing a black saloon-style car driving erratically in the area?
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference number 44230277009. You can also submit information via our website: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us-forms/provide-more-information-to-be-added-to-a-crime-report/.
