We’re investigating a report relating to a suspicious man in Ryde.
It’s been reported that between 3pm and 5pm yesterday (Tuesday 11 July) a man followed two teenage girls through Union Street and into a shop in Cross Street whilst trying to talk to them.
This left the girls feeling very uncomfortable and frightened.
The man was described as mixed race with braided hair, aged between 18 and 25 years-old approximately, and wearing a bright yellow top – similar to a Brazilian football shirt.
Officers are following up enquiries and will be reviewing CCTV, and in the meantime would like to hear from anyone with information about this man, or who can help us identify who he is.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44230279564. You can also submit information to us online here: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
