Officers investigating an assault in Winchester are appealing for witnesses.
We were called at 2.13am on Saturday 8 July to reports of a group of around four men assaulting another man on Winchester High Street.
The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered minor injuries as a result.
A 28-year-old man, two 22-year-old men, all from Worthy Down, and a 27-year-old man from Sefton were arrested on suspicion of affray. They have been released on police bail as enquiries continue.
We have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for any information that may assist our investigation.
We are particularly keen to hear from a member of the public who may have tried to intervene and been assaulted.
Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you saw how the incident started? Maybe you even have phone or CCTV footage that may help us.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 with reference 44230273570. Or you can submit information online here: How to tell us about an existing case or report | Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary
