Police search for man following Eastleigh assault

We are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault in Eastleigh.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was followed by a man along Underwood Road and Alan Drayton Way on Sunday, 4 September at about 9pm.
This man followed her until they reached an unlit area near Lynx Close. He then assaulted the woman by dragging her to the ground, causing minor injuries to her head before she managed to get away.
It is likely that the male had sustained some injuries to his face from the victim defending herself.
Following initial investigations we are now appealing for any witnesses who could help our enquiries.
We have a description of a man we would like to speak to regarding this incident.
He is described as:
- White
- Aged early 30’s
- 6'2'' tall
- Brown hair
