We’re appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in Fareham.
At around 8.45pm on Friday 2 September the victim, aged in her 20s, was cycling on Redlands Lane having turned into the road from The Avenue, when she saw two men up ahead of her.
She called out to make them aware of her presence twice but they did not move. After coming to a stop, the victim was then grabbed by one of the men who threw her to the ground.
This man then moved towards her again before he was held back by the second man, preventing a further assault from taking place.
The victim suffered swelling to her head as well as cuts and grazes to her leg and elbows as a result of this incident.
The man who carried out the assault was described as:
He was described as wearing a black T-shirt with something white across the shoulder and black jeans.
The man he was with was described as being smaller and thinner, wearing dark clothing similar to the first man, with brown hair and glasses.
We would like to hear from anyone who saw this incident, or these men in the area, or know who they are. We would also appeal to these two men to contact us to discuss this incident.
The victim in this incident has also described seeing two potential witnesses in the area wearing a nurse or carer type uniform, but we have no further description than this. If this is you and you have any information about this incident, please get in touch.
