Officers investigating a robbery that took place in Winchester in the early hours of Saturday morning (19 February) are appealing for information and a key witnesses.
At around 3.27am on Saturday, 19 February, a 22-year-old man was approached by two men at the junction of The Broadway and Colebrook Street and assaulted.
The two men then took the 22-year-old down Colebrook Street where they continued to assault him. They then stole a Canada Goose jacket, wallet and silver necklace.
The victim suffered cuts to his face and hands.
Officers have arrested a 41-year-old man from Kingsworthy and a 21-year-old man from Winchester on suspicion of robbery.
Both men were questioned and released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Officers are keen to identify a taxi driver who tried to help the victim shortly after the incident. We believe this person may be able to assist our investigation. Was this you?
