Witness appeal following spate of vehicle break-ins

We are appealing for information and witnesses after several cars were broken into in Portsmouth.

At about 3.30am on Wednesday 7 December, the windows of a black Mercedes E class were smashed with stones in Old College Walk.

Around the same time, a silver Audi A4 in the same road was broken into and a small amount of change was stolen.

Shortly after these two incidents, we received reports of three young males trying car door handles in nearby Chatsworth Avenue. It was reported they stole some money and a rucksack from a white Citroen C4.

Following initial inquiries we are now calling for anyone who may have seen the group of young males in the area that evening.

We would particularly like to speak to anyone who has dashcam, doorbell or CCTV images that could be useful to our investigation.
