We are appealing for witnesses and information following a report of an incident in the B&Q car park in Farnborough last night (Tuesday 6 December).
Officers were called at 5.35pm following a report that two vehicles, a black Land Rover and a white Peugeot van, were involved in a collision in the car park on Invincible Road.
It was reported that the Land Rover had repeatedly rammed into the Peugeot. Two men, who were inside the Peugeot, ran away from the scene.
Three men, who were inside the Land Rover, were reportedly impersonating police officers. The Land Rover had blue lights on the vehicle.
We would like to stress the men inside the vehicle were not police officers and detectives have launched an investigation.
Following the collisions, the men exited the Land Rover and attempted to gain entry to the Peugeot, but were unsuccessful and fled the scene.
Officers attended the scene and a large quantity of cannabis was seized from the back of the Peugeot.
Another vehicle in the car park was damaged, along with bollards and one of the store’s windows was cracked during the incident.
Chief Inspector Emma Hart, District Commander for Hart and Rushmoor, said: “We are aware this incident could cause concern in the local community, however I would like to assure you that we are taking this report extremely seriously.
“Officers are also aware of a video circulating on social media and we would ask members of the public not to speculate while officers conduct an investigation.”
Officers are now appealing for witnesses and information to help with the investigation.
