CCTV images released following public order incident in Southampton

Do you recognise the man in these CCTV images?

We would like to speak to him in connection with a public order incident in Southampton on Tuesday, 2 August.

At around 4.15pm, a man approached a woman after she left the ASDA store in Portland Terrace and repeatedly asked if he could hold her bags.

She said no each time but he continued to follow her back to her car in the IKEA car park, and there behaved inappropriately towards her and made a lewd comment.

The man shown in the CCTV image, who we are looking to speak to as we believe he could assist us with our investigation, is described as:

-White

-mid 20s

-slim to thin build

-5ft 10ins tall

-having overlapping teeth

Police staff Megan Wheeler said: “This incident caused great upset and distress to the woman involved.

“If you are the man in these images, or know who he is, please get in touch with us.”
