We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, following reports a teenage boy was robbed in Southampton.
It was reported that the victim was walking along St James Road between 7.10pm and 8.15pm on Thursday, 11 August, when a cyclist rode past him, then circled back and confronted the victim before following him into South View Road.
The victim was threatened and made to hand over his mobile phone and airpods to the cyclist, who then rode off towards the common.
We have carried out initial enquiries into the incident, but are now appealing for anyone in the area who may have witnessed this incident or can provide any further information to come forward.
The cyclist is described as a white male, between 5’6 to 5’8 and short slender build. He had short dark blonde hair and a full beard ginger. He was wearing a white T-Shirt, shorts and low top Jordan trainers with red on them. He had a red Adidas man-bag across him and was riding a small black bike.
If you were in the area, did you witness this incident described or have CCTV, dash-cam or Ring doorbell footage that may have captured the incident? Did you see a person described as above riding a black bicycle?
Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting crime reference number 44220325567.
Alternatively, you can contact independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
