We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, following a robbery in Southsea.
It comes after two teenage boys were reportedly struck by a vehicle, and a rucksack stolen, during the early hours of Friday morning (5 August) at the junction of St. Helen’s Parade and St. Helen’s Close in Southsea.
The incident happened just before 1.10am.
It is then alleged that one of the teenage boys was assaulted by an occupant of the vehicle. He suffered minor facial injuries as a result.
We have carried out initial enquiries into the incident, but are now appealing for any witnesses in the area of St. Helen’s Parade in Southsea who may have witnessed this incident or can provide any further information.
If you were in the area, did you witness this incident described or have CCTV, dash-cam or Ring doorbell footage that may have captured the incident? Perhaps you saw a light coloured vehicle in the area discarding a rucksack?
Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting crime reference number 44220315375.
Alternatively, you can contact independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
