We are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a woman was assaulted in Basingstoke.
It took place sometime between 11.20pm on Saturday 24 July and 12.45am the following day.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking from the Buckskin area when she was struck in the face by a man wearing a hooded top.
The man ran off when another man riding a scooter rode past.
The woman sustained a facial injury but did not require hospital treatment.
The victim does not know where the attack took place.
We are making enquiries to establish the circumstances of this incident, including where it took place.
However, we would like to hear from anyone who was in this area on that night, and remembers seeing a woman being assaulted.
We would also like to hear from the man riding the scooter – he may hold information that might be important to our enquiries.
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting the reference number 44210294267.
