Officers investigating a serious assault in Basingstoke are appealing for witnesses.
We were called at 6.12pm on 4 April to reports of a 20-year-old man being stabbed in the Holy Ghost Chapel grounds, on Chapel Hill.
The man was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, they are not considered life threatening.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody at this time.
We have conducted a number of enquiries over the past couple of days but are now turning to the public for help.
Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you saw two groups meeting near to the cemetery, or have private CCTV that could assist our enquiries?
We are also keen to hear from a woman who gave first aid to the victim at the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to phone 101 with reference 44210126765. Alternatively, you can phone Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111.
