CCTV image released after teenager assaulted in Southampton

Officers have released a CCTV image and are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was assaulted on Pound Tree Road in Southampton on Monday 2 November.
The victim, a 16-year-old girl from Southampton, was walking along Above Bar Street at around 8.35am and turned onto Pound Tree Road while looking at her phone and wearing headphones. As she passed JD Sports she was punched in the face by a man unknown to her.
She suffered minor injuries which required stitches to her nose.
Officers investigating have made a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for help.
