We’re appealing for witnesses after two people died in a collision in Waterlooville yesterday (July 28).
Officers were called at 2.20pm following a two vehicle collision on Hambledon Road, Waterlooville.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris, an 89-year-old man, from Waterlooville, was taken to Southampton General Hospital but died a short time later.
His passenger, an 84-year-old woman, from Waterlooville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The next of kin of both people have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 36-year-old man, from Waterlooville, suffered minor injuries.
Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
