Witness appeal made in Basingstoke assault investigation

We’re appealing for information after a member of a bar’s door staff was assaulted in Basingstoke.

The incident took place outside The Tea Bar, in London Street, Basingstoke, sometime between 9pm and 9.15pm on Saturday 20 July.

A man approached the victim and punched him in the face.

The victim sustained bruising to his right eye.

The man is described as:

• white
• aged between 40 and 50 years of age
• around 5ft 8ins tall
• black/grey hair
• wearing a white Ralph Lauren shirt, black trousers and a burgundy suit jacket.
