Two men arrested in connection with firearms offences

Officers investigating alleged firearms offences in Southampton have arrested two people.

This relates to reports of three incidents between Wednesday 11 October and Wednesday 1 November in which a firearm of some description was fired at a house on Archery Grove.

Nobody was injured, but damage was caused to a car, a garage and a window.

A 20-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property under £5,000, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A 21-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property under £5,000, and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Both have been released from custody but remain under investigation.
