Officer concerned: Former PC Aiden Bloomfield
Date of hearing: 20-12 January, 2025
Summary of allegations
PC Bloomfield has met a female through a mutual acquaintance and subsequently contacted her online. The female later attended the officer’s address, knowing that he was a police officer, and having already told him that she did not want to have a sexual intercourse with him. Despite the officer being aware of this, it is alleged he proceeded to have sexual intercourse with her.
Outcome
Allegations of non-consensual sexual activity were proven and amounted to Gross Misconduct. The Panel found this amounted to a breach of the standards of behaviour in respect of integrity and conduct.
Sanction
The officer would have been dismissed without notice had he not already resigned. He was placed on the College of Policing Barred List.
