How to register
The Hampshire Constabulary Nationalities Office situated in Winchester and Newport Police Station situated on the Isle of Wight are open for police registrations.
Our Basingstoke Police Investigation Centre, Southampton Central Police Station, Portsmouth Police Investigation Centre and Newport Police Station (Isle of Wight) are currently open by appointment only for any relevant Foreign National who wishes to report a change of details or who is transferring into Hampshire from another force area - please see reporting a change in circumstances.

You can begin your registration using our online system.
Please use our online registration portal to enter your details and set up one account per person using your personal email address.
You will have 20 minutes to create your account and input your details online so please have all personal documents to hand. Once completed you will need to activate your account within 1 hour for which you will receive an e-mail.
You will then be invited to book an appointment at Hampshire Registration - Winchester Nationalities Office 1 or 2 if you are a student; or Hampshire Registration - Winchester Nationalities Office (Non-student) if you are a non-student.
If you live on the Isle of Wight, you can book an appointment at Hampshire registration/Update- Newport Police Station- student/non-student.
What to bring to your appointment
- Biometric Residence Permit (also known as BRP)
- Letter from the Home Office (If BRP applied in the UK)
- Proof of work or study
- Proof of address
- Passports of any dependants under 16 living in the UK
- £34 in exact cash or card (we do not accept American Express)
