Every piece of information we receive about drug activity is important in helping us combat drug-related violence but sometimes it's not always obvious what we do with it.

Detective Superintendent Kath Barnes said:

"My team is dedicated to reducing the harm caused by serious drug-related violence. The help and support we receive from the community is vital in achieving this and so every piece of information is greatly appreciated.

"There are times when the police will take very visible action in response but this is not always immediately appropriate.

"We regularly work with other police teams in Hampshire Constabulary, including local Safer Neighbourhoods teams. If your information is more appropriately handled by another team, we will ensure it is passed to them to take action.

"The information you've provided may also help build a bigger picture of the issue of drug activity so we can develop long term solutions.

"Please be assured we always want to hear from you and no piece of information is too small."
