Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man was involved in a hit and run collision in Aldershot.

At about 7.45pm on Friday, September 7, the 71-year-old man was walking across Alexandra Road at its junction with the A325 when he was struck by a silver Vauxhall Corsa car.

The driver of the car didn't stop and drove off onto the A325 towards Farnham.

The victim sustained an injury to his shoulder and a fractured knee and was taken to hospital for treatment.

PC Ollie Innes said: "Witnesses have described the car as and older-style Corsa and there may have been up to three people in the car.

"Did you see this vehicle on Friday evening? Do you know anything about this incident? Please contact me with any information."
