Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Alton.

The burglary took place at some time between 12.30pm on Sunday, August 26 and 12.30pm on Tuesday, August 28 at an address in Netherfield Close, Alton.

The offender/s forced their way into the address and once inside took a number of items of jewellery and three laptops.

PC Amy Smith, said: "This burglary took place in a quiet residential street in Alton while the victims were away.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have any information about this burglary to come forward.  Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or have your heard anything since the burglary which would raise suspicion?  I would urge anyone with information to come forward and help us find those responsible."
