Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Basingstoke.

At around 11.30am on Wednesday, February 27 the 17-year-old victim walked in to the War Memorial Park from the Chesterfield Road subway.  She was approached from behind by two men who brushed past her and grabbed her bag, which contained a purple and red Blackberry curve mobile phone.

They then ran off in the direction of the Crossborough Hill car park. 

The men police want to speak to are as:

Man one:
- White
- Aged 18 to 19
- With "Justin Bieber style" brown hair
- Brown eyes
- Bushy eyebrows
- 6ft
- Skinny build
- Wearing a black and royal blue Adidas hooded top, grey tracksuit bottoms and black Van or Converse shoes

Man two:
- White
- Aged 18 to 19
- 6ft
- Skinny build
- Short mousey brown spiky hair
- Thin eyebrows
- Wearing a black Nike jumper with a white tick, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers

PC Jo Blanchard, said: "There would have been a number of dog walkers, joggers and other people around at the time of the incident.  I would urge anyone who saw anything suspicous or has any other information, no matter how small, to contact us as soon as possible and help us with our inquiry."
