Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a burglary in Chineham.

Offender(s) gained access to a house in Thyme Close through an insecure first floor window some time between 8am and 2pm on Friday, September 14.

Once inside, offender(s) stole several items including a Nintendo WII, jewellery including a gold Steiff necklace and a bottle of Hennessy XO brandy worth £100.

PC Martyn Evans said: "This happened during a busy time of the day when there would have been people out and about in this busy residential estate.

"I am keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or who may have been offered the stolen items for sale.

"I would also like to remind people to make sure windows and doors are secure at all times."
