Man charged with robbery offences in Basingstoke

Detectives have charged a man in connection with a robbery and attempted robbery, both of which involved vulnerable people in Basingstoke.

Jody Silver, aged 32, of Goat Lane, Basingstoke, has been charged with robbery in connection with an incident where a 54-year-old vulnerable man was robbed as he was walking in Lower Church Street on Sunday, October 14.

He has also been charged with attempted robbery in connection with an incident involving a 45-year-old vulnerable woman, who was walking in one of the subways near Basing View on Tuesday, September 25.

Mr Silver is due to appear at Basingstoke magistrates court this morning (Friday, October 19).
