Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an attempted burglary at a house in Roman Road, Basingstoke.

Shortly before 4.30pm on Wednesday, October 3, a 36-year-old woman returned home from work and when inside her home, saw a man running out of the driveway.

When the woman checked her home, she found that a window in the conservatory at the back of the house had been smashed.

PC Mark Pullman said: "It appears that the would-be-burglar was disturbed and nothing appears to have been taken.

"Did you see anything suspicious in the Roman Road area? It's believed the offender ran off towards Kenilworth Road."
