Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident outside a take away in Aldershot.

At about 11.45pm on Wednesday, October 10, two men aged 25 and 41, were assaulted after attempting to intervene in a dispute between customers in the take away in the High Street.

The men, who work at the take away, were attacked by one of the customers with a broom handle and suffered head and facial injuries. They were taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital for treatment.

The attacker is described as a white man, aged 25-30, about 5ft 8ins tall and of a medium build. He had short dark hair.

PC Philip Howe said: "This was a particularly nasty attack which has resulted in severe injuries to both victims.
