Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a cyclist was injured following an incident in Basingstoke.

The cyclist, a 38-year-old man, was travelling along Old Reading Road towards Eastrop Roundabout shortly after 8am on Thursday, November 1, when the driver of a van braked suddenly.

The cyclist then collided with the back of the van - which is described as smaller than a transit, in good condition and with green and white writing on the side.

He fell off his bike and sustained back injuries. The driver of the van didn't
stop.

PC Nigel Cole said: "I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen this incident or a van matching the description?"
