Police are appealing for information following the theft of garden ornaments in Newton Valence near Alton.

The incident occurred between 4pm on Tuesday, November 20 and 9am on Wednesday, November 21.

Offenders stole a lead statue of a boy holding a bird bath, a two foot tall bronze statue of a bird and four saddle stones.

PC Louisa Whatmore from Alton police station said: "Police are keen to trace these stolen items, especially the bronze bird which is of significant sentemental value to the victims.

"If you are aware of who is in possession of these items or if anyone has tried to see you these items please contact the police immedietely."
