Police are now in a position to name the motorcyclist who died following a collision on the A303 at Micheldever near Winchester on June 20.
Christopher Newe, 35, from Tiverton Road, Basingstoke was riding along the eastbound carriageway at 8.20pm when he lost control of his grey Suzuki GSX motorbike and came off the vehicle.
He sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both the A303 eastbound and westbound carriageways were closed between Micheldever and Popham until 2.30am on June 21 while officers examined the scene and debris was cleared from the road.
Police are still keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who saw a group of motorcyclists on the A303 prior to it.
