At around 7.45pm on Sunday, May 27 a man was assaulted at a function at Headley Park Hotel, Bordon.

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Bordon.

At around 7.45pm on Sunday, May 27 a man was assaulted at a function at Headley Park Hotel, Bordon.

The man, aged in his 30s, was assaulted by a group of males resulting in him sustaining serious injuries to his face and leg.  During the assault he was stabbed with a weapon.  After the assault, the offenders immediately left the scene.

The victim required hospital treatment and is now recovering.

PC Nick Hines, said: "This function was mostly attended by members of the Lithuanian community and I am appealing directly to those at the event and those in the community who may have information, to come forward and speak to us.

"There were many people around when the attack took place and it would have been witnessed by a number of people. I am asking anyone who saw this incident, or anyone who has any information to assist us, to contact us in complete confidence.

"This was a serious assault and the offenders must be brought to justice."
