Police are appealing for information to help trace a missing Farnborough man.

Ian John Silvester, 44, was last seen at his address on Cromwell Way, Farnborough by his landlady on November 15.

He was reported missing to police on Tuesday, December 11.

Sergeant Mark Woodhead, said: "Mr Silvester has been missing for a considerable amount of time and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

"Mr Silvester's landlady last saw him on November 15 after which she went away until December 3.  Ian was looking after his landlady's cats while she was away and when she returned the cats appeared to have been well looked after. However, she did not see him on her return.

"Ian's last known address was in Farnborough and before that he lived in Aldershot.  We know that he has also previously lived in Wembley.  We have carried out a number of lines of enquiry to try and trace him and have spoken to his friends who are concerned for his welfare.

"We know this is out of character for Ian and we are appealing to the community for their help in finding him.  Have you seen him in the area?  Do you know where he is?  One of his friends has suggested he could be sleeping rough in the Aldershot area so I would urge the community to be vigilant and look out for him.

"I would also like to appeal directly to Mr Silvester to make contact with us as soon as possible so we can make sure he is safe and well.  I would urge anyone who sees Ian, or anyone who knows where he may be, to make contact with the police immediately."
