Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at a house in Cholderton near Andover.

The incident occurred at 10.45pm on Wednesday, December 12 at a house in Cholderton Road.

Two men forced entry into the home of a 53-year-old man and hit him over the head while demanding money.

The offenders left the scene with two laptops and the victim suffered an injury to his head which required hospital treatment.

The first suspect is described as:

  • A black man
  • 25 to 30-years-old
  • About 6ft 4 tall
  • Wearing dark clothing and a hat.

 The second suspect is described as:

  •  A black man
  • 25 to 30-years-old
  • About 6ft 4 tall
  • Slimmer than the first suspect.

Detective Constable Rob Harrington from Andover CID said: "I would like to reassure members of the community that this is an isolated incident.

"I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Cholderton Road and the Shire Public House on the evening of Wednesday, December 12 and who saw any suspicious people or vehicles. I'd also like anyone who has heard information about this crime to come forward."
