Police are reminding residents to ensure their homes are secure after a burglary in Whitchurch.

Some time between 11am and 3.30pm on Saturday, August 18, burglar(s) entered a house in Test Mews, Whitchurch, and stole a purse containing cash and various cards from a hadnbag in the kitchen.

PC Paula Deery said: "Burglaries are relatively rare in the Whitchurch area but I would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Winchester Street and Test Mews area on Saturday to contact me.

"I would also like to remind residents to make sure their homes are secure at all times."
