Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Bordon on Wednesday, August 29.

The incident happened just before 4pm at the cash point outside of Lloyds TSB bank in Camp Road.

The victim, a 79-year-old man, was using the cash point at the bank which is next to the fire station when he was pushed from behind. The suspects then withdrew £250 from his bank account.

The first suspect is described as a:

  • White man
  • Approximately 5ft 7 tall
  • Slight build
  • 17 to 20-years-old
  • Wearing a dark grey hooded top.

The second suspect is described as a:

  • White man
  • 5ft 10 to 5ft 11 tall
  • Slight build
  • 17 to 20-years-old
  • Thin, dark moustache which was sparse
  • Wearing a brown hooded jacket.

Detective Constable Ewan Gardner from Alton police station said: "Occurrences like this are rare. Fortunately the victim, who was a vulnerable elderly man, was not injured during the incident but it is important to find those responsible.

"I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information about it."
