Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Four Marks near Alton.

The incident occurred at around 11am on Wednesday, August 15 at a house in Willis Lane.

The victim heard her conservatory door being opened and went to investigate. She found a man in the conservatory.

Following a short confrontation, he left empty handed.

The suspect is described as:

  •  Around 5ft 8 tall
  • Medium build
  • Wearing a black balaclava or a black hood with just eye holes, a green waist-length wax jacket with toggles and dark blue jeans.

Detective Constable Ewan Gardner said: "I would like to hear from anyone who saw any strange people or vehicles in the area at the time of the burglary.

"Incidents like this are very rare in Four Marks, but I'd like to remind residents to take care to keep windows and doors secure even if you are in the home or garden."
