Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery in Bordon on Monday, August 6.

At 4.45pm, a woman was walking along the pavement next to the A325 towards Farnham when the driver of a gold Nissan Primera stopped next to her and asked her for directions.

The woman, who was with her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend, leant into the car to talk to the female front passenger. As she did so, the passenger began to show the woman some jewellery.

The woman tried to move away from the vehicle but the passenger pulled her in through the window and started showing her more jewellery while holding her.

The woman managed to pull herself back out of the car and the passenger then placed some jewellery into the woman's hand before the vehicle drove off at speed.

The woman then realised her gold necklace was missing.

Detective Constable Dawn White, from the District CID team, said: "This was a very unusual incident whereby a woman was stopped and distracted by a car full of people who then stole her necklace.

"Did you witness this incident? Have you experienced anything similar? Do you know who these people are? If you have any information that can help, please get in touch."
