Operation Nemesis is Hampshire Constabulary's campaign for tackling burglary.

Operation Nemesis was launched on Saturday, October 1 2011. The six month intensive operation tackled burglary across the whole force, cracking down on perpetrators and bringing them to justice.

Burglars show a blatant disregard and lack of respect for people's privacy or possessions by deciding to invade homes and steal. The force was witnessing an increase in burglaries throughout 2011. Chief Constable Alex Marshall wanted this dealt with swiftly and so launched Operation Nemesis for the second time.

Our focus on perpetrators is relentless and should be a constant warning that we will never be complacent in stopping their actions from affecting the lives of the law-abiding majority in our communities. Hampshire Constabulary is able to call upon a wide range of experience and expertise to disrupt and detect any burglar, and bring suspects before the courts to face justice.

As well as chasing down those who commit burglaries it is also important that we provide clear and useable advice on how you can protect yourself from becoming a victim of burglary.
