Rural communities across the two counties are benefiting from improved accessibility to policing services thanks to converted Ford Transit vans acting as mobile police stations.
The vans are financed from the government's rural crime fighting fund. They cost £18,000 each to buy and convert.
The specially-adapted livery (sporting the Crimestoppers number, the Hampshire Constabulary single number and the force website address) makes the vans highly visible. The offices are equipped with police radios and a mobile phone, with a direct link to the Force Enquiry Centre at Police Headquarters in Winchester, enabling faster crime recording.
Visit the local policing pages to find out when the mobile police station is coming to a location near you.
